Teaching Our Children
For the first time, we will offer ROOKIE RUGBY
for Ages 4 to 10. In addition, we are providing an entirely new
selection of Preschool Development classes, including Art Around the
World and Playgroup 101.
Teaching Parenting Skills
Parents
Who Care (PWC), a program of Family Connections, partnered with the Y
to teach parenting classes to at-risk families. The Y cared for their
children, provided swimming lessons and a health snack. For the second
time, a Spanish speaking class was offered; 17 classes have been
offered over the past six years serving 91 families. We anticipate
continuing this collaboration in 2012.
Mentoring Teens
We
secured a National PAL (Police Athletic League) grant which enabled us
to create a teen-only program. The Teen Mentoring Program is now in
full swing with 6 mentors and 17 participants.
Generosity Today
We
are especially thankful for the overwhelming support to the Y
Generosity Today campaign. Thank you to all that were able to give. If

to supporting those in the community who are less fortunate through our
