Mondays through Fridays 8:30am-4:30pm
Extended Hours: 6:30am-8:30am and 4:30pm-6:30pm

Day Camp Program Summary:
The Claire E. Churchman Kiwanis Family YMCA Day Camp offers a variety
of activities and specialty camps to meet the needs and schedules of
today’s busy families. Campers will keep busy with daily activity
choices including sports and fitness, science and cooking, and swim
lessons to name a few. In addition, Youth Camp offers half day
Specialty Camps to engage campers in specific activities or skills such
as sports, cooking or art.
The Family YMCA is a non-profit charitable organization that promotes
Christian principles through programs that build healthy mind, body and
spirit for all. No one is ever turned away for inability to pay for
programs or services. Financial aid is available for qualifying
individuals and families. Financial assistance is made possible by the
generous support of individuals, companies and foundations who
contribute to the YMCA’s Current Support Campaign.
Registration Begins March 1,
2012
Day camp is conveniently located at the Family YMCA’s main campus
location. Camp registration packets are available at the Family YMCA
Welcome Center.
Busy Beaver Day Camp
Choose the camp that’s right for your child. Campers have the option of
a half day camp (morning only) or full day camp. Field trips will be
limited to full day camp participants only during four sessions
throughout the summer.
Special Note:
Busy Beaver Day Camp will be located at the ECDC Forks (ages 3-5).
Children completing Kindergarten will have the optin to
attend Busy Beavers at ECDC Forks or Youth Camp at the Family
YMCA main facility.

Churchman-Kiwanis Family YMCA Youth Day Camp
Location: Family YMCA Main Facility
Ages 5-14
(For children 5 years old completing Kindergarten and up)
Explore the great outdoors. Your child will make new friends, create
new memories and learn new skills while participating in a variety of
educational activities such as sports, fitness, arts, crafts, science,
cooking, swimming lessons, free swim and much more.
Extended Care is available for children dropped off before 8:30am and
picked up after 4:30pm.
Youth Camp activities include, but not limited to:

• Daily Recreational Swim
• Team Building
• Field Trips
• Educational Presentations
• Camp Fire Songs and Skits
• Field Day versus other local YMCAs

Specialty Camps
Ages 6-12
(For children 6 years old completing First Grade)
These half day camps focus on a highly-specific theme and explore a
variety of interests including sports, art, and cooking. Children
enrolled in these camps have the option to participate in PM Camp
Kiwanis and AM/PM Extended Care.
Specialty Camp Program Options and Rates
Choice of Specialty Camp and PM Camp Kiwanis is equal to a full day
camp fee.

Junior Leaders in Training (Ages 11-12)
Junior LIT's will participate during the mornings with LIT Camp and enjoy afternoon swimming activites with Youth Camp
Sessions 1-11
Leaders in Training (Ages 13-14)
LITs develop leadership skills while having fun. They spend one-half of
their day assisting with planning and leading activities for younger
campers. The remainder of the day is spent with other LITs focusing on
age appropriate skill development, community service projects, life
skills (cooking, interviewing, fundraising) and team building.

Career Week: July 9-13
Counselors in Training (Ages
15-17) CITs will enhance and develop leadership skills as they experience the
daily routine of camp counselor, in preparation for working in the
childhood field.

LIT Fees: $100/week Member;
$120/week Non-Member
CIT Fees: $80/week Member;
$100/week Non-Member
