The Early Childhood Development Center FORKS is a Keystone STARS Three Site.

ECDC FORKS Programs:
The Family YMCA’s Early Childhood Development Center FORKS delivers quality, affordable programming to accommodate full day care for infants 6-weeks old through 6 years old. ECDC FORKS offers a full day Kindergarten program licensed by the Department of Education.

The Early Childhood Development Center offers a wide range of child care options to fit each family’s particular needs.

YMCA Infant Program
The Infant Program provides a safe, nurturing environment where children can experience intellectual, physical, social and emotional growth. The curriculum is designed to reinforce all infancy developmental milestones through creative activities.

YMCA Toddler Programs
Toddler Programs are designed to introduce children to their first experience in a positive, structured learning environment. Curriculum is designed to emphasize social, cognitive and language development, self esteem, fine/gross motor and positive values through hands-on lessons.

YMCA PreSchool Programs
PreSchool Programs are designed for Kindergarten readiness. The curriculum is designed to expand and enhance basic skills necessary for a positive experience in Kindergarten. Children will be encouraged to participate in age appropriate activities which facilitate the development of the “Whole Child,” socially, intellectually, emotionally and physically.

YMCA Kindergarten Program
(Child must be five years old prior to the first day of school) Licensed by the Department of Education. Expand and enhance Kindergarten skills in a positive learning environment between the hours of 9:00am-3:00pm. Curriculum coincides with the Easton Area School District.

YMCA Extended Kindergarten Program
(6:30am-9:00am and/or 3:00pm-6:30pm)
Extend your Kindergartener’s learning experience by enrolling in the before and after school options. Care includes school holidays and inclement weather days if both options are chosen.

ECDC FORKS Program Rates

Department of Education Full Day Kindergarten Program
The Family YMCA is licensed by the PA Department of Education to provide a full day Kindergarten program to prepare children for a successful start in the public school system upon entering First Grade.

The Full Day program is designed to provide an enrichment program that enhances Kindergarten skills focusing on math and literacy, meeting and exceeding Pennsylvania State Standards.

Important Kindergarten Information:
• Children’s birthdates must reflect five years of age prior to the first day of school to participate in the YMCA Full Day Kindergarten program.
• Children’s birthdates must reflect six (6) years of age prior to the first day of school in the Easton Area School District to transfer into First Grade. If you live in a different school distraction, please check their entrance policy for guidelines.
• Licensing capacity: up to 22 children.
• Hours of Operation: 9:00am – 3:00pm
• On-site Extended Care Options Available: 6:30am-9:00am or 3:00pm-6:30pm
• Summer Program Available – full or part time.
• Field trips.
• Classroom computers.

Enrichment Classes
Enrichment Classes offer just the right amount of fun and activity for youngsters to experience a specific area of interest. Explore physical fitness, the arts, the computer and digital photography, cooking, or martial arts skills. Whatever you and your child choose, they are sure to be excited about the next class.

Fun Bus (Ages 18 months-6 years)
This full-sized school bus has been equipped with kid gymnastics equipment providing your child with Fitness Fun!

Pay As You Go Weekly: $13.00 per session
Pay for the Entire Session: $104.00 entire 8-week session

Birthday Parties
The Early Childhood Development Center FORKS now offers Birthday Parties designed especially for younger children. Our parties are just the right amount of activity and celebration for the younger child. Geared towards children ages 2-6, parties will have exclusive use of either the indoor playroom or the outdoor playground.

Basic Birthday Party
The Basic Birthday Party enjoys 1 hour in the indoor or outdoor playground plus 45 minutes of “party time” and can accommodate up to 20 children. Refreshments are not provided, but you can bring your own.

Family YMCA Member: $125.00
Family YMCA Non-Member: $175.00

YMCA Busy Beaver Summer Camp
Busy Beaver Camp will begin June 11, 2012 at the ECDC Forks location.

Summertime is a wonderful time to introduce your child age 3-6 years old to camp! Campers will participate in age-appropriate, interactive activities including sports, fitness, arts, crafts, science, cooking, nature and more. Each week will revolve around a new theme to keep campers engaged and active.

3, 4 & 5 Year Old Busy Beaver Camp
Campers have the option to attend camp five days a week between 9:00am-12:00pm.

• 3 Year Olds – 5 Day Busy Beaver Camp (M-F 9:00am-12:00pm) must be age three (3) and potty trained by January 1, 2012.

• 4 Year Old – 5 Day Busy Beaver Camp (M-F 9:00am-12:00pm) must be age four (4) and potty trained.

5 & 6 Year Old Busy Beaver Camp
Children Who Have Attended F/D "Y" Kindergarten Program
Campers have the option of a full day (8:30am-4:30pm) or half day (8:30am-12:00pm). Extended care options are available for full day campers only. Field trips will be offered on Sessions 3, 5, 7, and 9 to full day participants only.

Busy Beaver Dates and Themes
Children participate with interactive, age appropriate activities including arts and crafts, nature and more!

Merge onto Wood Avenue
At traffic light, make a left onto 13th Street
At next traffic light, go straight up Lafayette Street; approximately 1 mile.
Turn left onto McCarthy Street,
Turn left onto Knox Avenue.
Make immediate right onto Sullivan Trail. At stop sign, continue straight.
ECDC FORKS will be on left.
Parking in rear of building.

From Downtown Easton:
Take N. 3rd Street under Rt. 22.
N. 3rd Street becomes College Avenue.
Bear left onto Cattell Street.
Turn slight left onto Knox Avenue.
Turn right onto Sullivan Trail.
At stop sign, continue straight.
ECDC FORKS will be on left.
Parking in rear of building.
