Tidal Waves Swim Team Banquet
 
  • Please save the date!!! Your family is invited to celebrate the successful '09-'10 Tidal Waves Swim Team Season.
  • Our Swim Team Banquet will be on Friday, May 7 from 7-9pm at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2115 Washington Blvd, Easton, PA 18042
  • We will need food donation and volunteers for set-up and clean up duties. Updates will coming up.

Championship Information
 
  • YMCA East/West Pennsylvania Championship:
    • YMCA East/West Pennsylvania Championship will be on Sat & Sun, March 20 & 21, 2010 at Penn State University. [Meet Information]
    • For 2010, the top 12 individual event finishers and the Top 9 relay finishers at the PA East District Champ will advance to the YMCA PA East-West championship.
    • [T-Shirt Information] Please email Stephanie if you would like to order. Orders must be received no later than March 14, 2010.
 
YMCA Swimmers who practice at EAHS
  • The Easton High School Swim Team begins its competitive season. In the past this means less practice time for older Y swimmers as the EAHS pool is closed for meets. We would like to minimize lost practice time as much as possible by providing workable alternatives.
  • First, it is very important to remember that there is a Saturday practice option from 11:00am to 1pm when the pool is available.

Tidal Waves Team Clothing Order

  • Please have orders back to Lenore Dual before the November 23rd so she can get them in prior to the holiday.

Tidal Waves Mailboxes and Information
  • Welcome to the 2009-2010 season of Tidal Waves Swimming; from Trudy Miller, Co-Chair of Parent Committee.
  • A mailbox (plastic bin) with file folders with the swimmer's name is located at Philip Lauer and at Easton High School. Please have your swimmer check their file folder regularly.
  • Fundraisers will be placed in the files this week. We are selling "Smencil" products. Orders are due back by NOVEMBER 30 and may be placed in the Treasurer's folder (in the front of the box). Buyouts are $25/family. Proceeds will be used to offset the year-end banquet and swimmer gifts. Questions on fundraising to Stephanie Slauson.
  • Clothing order forms will also be placed in the mailboxes soon. A reminder that NEW swimmers will receive a team t-shirt. Names and sizes and clothing questions to Lenore Daul.
  • We need many parents helping to run a successful swim meet. Please click Volunteer description for details. Also fill out Volunteer Worker Sheet and return to Pei-Jung Lin before Nov. 17, 2009.
 
Dual Meet schedule changed
  • The boys dual meet Easton (Away) vs Reading (Home) is rescheduled to 12/5/2009.

Official’s Clinics at Bethlehem YMCA on Saturday, October 17, 2009
 
  • The level I clinic will be from 9 to 1.
  • The Level II clinic will be from 1:30 to 5:30.
  • The fee for the clinics is $30.

Scorer and Referee Clinics at Greater Scranton YMCA on Sunday, October 18
 
  • Scorer clinic begins at 1:00pm.
  • Referee clinic begins at 2:00pm.
